Overview

Lander Analytics is a New York City based boutique Data Science and AI company focused on providing open-source training, strategic analytics consulting, advisory services and infrastructure related solutions to both independent firms and large global enterprises. Our diverse client portfolio includes banks and other financials, real estate firms, government agencies, professional sports teams, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, the energy sector, education, retail and technology.

Scope

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious self-starter with a strong business acumen. Someone who can work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team environment across departments (marketing, software engineering, data science). This is a great opportunity to join a growing company operating in a hot space by contributing to our development and learning first hand from a talented group of enthusiastic professionals with varied backgrounds and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing the sales process of assigned clients

  • Nurture partner relationships

  • Learn and understand industry specific trends to drive ongoing business objectives

  • Attend industry conferences and events

  • Help plan, execute and attend company conferences and events

  • Participate in company’s internal meetings

  • Coordinate client requirements with company’s data scientists and engineers

  • Prepare and deliver proposals, agreements and Statements of Work (SOW)

  • Serve as liaison between client and company management and legal team

  • Utilize CRM database, reporting systems, task manager and shared docs

  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute strategic plans

  • Other duties as assigned by General Manager and Chief Data Scientist

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; business and/or a quantitative discipline

  • Previous sales experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask

  • Superior negotiation skills

  • Ideally New York-based; other locations considered

  • Ability to organize and prioritize with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with data management, statistics, and open source software

  • Knowledge of software systems including Google Drive, Asana, Slack and Hubspot

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with data management, statistics, and open source software (particularly R)

  • Computing systems and environments.
